Mueller Report summarised...

Bob Mueller made it CRYSTAL F××KING CLEAR that there is evidence to impeach Trump; but the only ones who can impeach him is Congress!

Under DOJ regulations, a sitting president cannot be charged with a crime! Unfortunately, true, going by the book! That's the part that pisses me off and should piss everyone off!

While the DOJ and its Nazi regulations hold American democracy hostage, by allowing Russian interference in our elections; American democracy is at the mercy of Congress.

By Congress not acting on impeachment proceedings, they are in contempt!

In the end, Congress is nothing but a bunch of f××king cowards!!!! They will eventually start impeachment proceedings, but not before each of those f××krs guarantees themselves a good retirement benefits and the such.

While Congress will formalise impeachment, a good samaritan hero will rise from this storm. The ending will be worth it.😊

They keep on with this "sitting president" thing but it must be new. Nobody told Nixon about it.

@TheMiddleWay Thanks.

A sitting president can’t be charged with a crime? That’s too similar to papal infallibility and the Divine Right Of Kings!

Off with his head a la Charles I and bring on the revolution!

It’s not that a sitting president can’t be charged, the DOJ has a policy of not doing so. Functionally the same, yes, but different in principle.

@indirect76 Ah ok. No precedent rather unconstitutional.

@Geoffrey51 How so is it unconstitutional? Discretion exists at every level of the legal process, and rightly so.

@indirect76 what I should have asked was, because there is no precedent it won’t be done, rather than it being unconstitutional.

He didnt make it clear. He did not say it plainly. He said it in a bunch of political jargon and said he would say nothing more about it. Fox will report it as a complete exoneration case closed.

I didnt hear him day anything new. I saw it as a non statement with a refusal to add anything more.

@TheMiddleWay I think he could have said it more clearly.

Doesn't matter what ANY news source says, it's what I heard with my own ears coming out of Bob's mouth.

His hands are tied because of DOJ's regs. He said Congress would have to act on it. Mueller said they didn't have a choice/option to indict trump. Meaning, DOJ was the only thing that stood in the way of him proceeding with an indictment. So, it's up to Congress who has the authority.

@SleeplessInTexas You aren't the one that needs convincing. Congress makes the decision and they will bend to public opinion. He left way to much room for Fox to twist his statements.

I decided weeks ago Nancy Pelosi is obstructing justice and is protecting Trump.

It's Mich McConnell obstructing any kind of justice.

Are you insane?

@Cutiebeauty What other reason would she not call for an inquiry to expose Trump crimes to us, the voting public?

@Anonbene trumps crimes are exposed... But she can't do anything by herself... She needs support from the rest of congress ..

@Cutiebeauty
No they aren't. Fox news viewers think he's exonerated, innocent. No one knows what Mueller means by there were 10 incidents of obstruction of justice. With who? How? When? She can't get support from Congress to decide that unless they investigate while we watch them and then clamor for Congress to act. It's up to us and we can't make an informed decision until we see the proof.

Testimony from people he committed crimes with is a powerful thing and sways votes. The act of impeachment is merely a legal technicality and far less influential.

So I say investigate in public.

@Anonbene fox news viewers will always think trump is innocent.. There's a difference between exposing trumps crimes and convincing people to accept it... Fox viewers need convincing...

@Cutiebeauty
I'm convinced that some fox viewers would change their minds if his co-conspiritors told us they commited crimes with or by the order of Trump. Confessions in Congressional hearings are hard to ignore

Unfortunately, Pence will be worse than trump.

Trump will get re-elected, but will get "justice" handed down to him. Whether through Congress or another entity.

Pence, unlike, trump, will not obstruct justice. He will, however, use laws we have never heard of to rule with an iron fist. Everything will have to do with religious discrimination.

After Pence, we have one more monster who will come into office.

Our last president and heroine, will be a female. A possible descendant of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.?

Regardless of her bloodline, it will be a female. But what do I know?

You have said this a few times now. Do you have someone specific in mind or is this all conjecture? I thought you were talking about yourself until I saw this post.

Robert Mueller, in first public remarks, says charging Trump was 'not an option we could consider'

BART JANSEN AND KEVIN JOHNSON | USA TODAY | 45 minutes ago

[usatoday.com]

WASHINGTON – In his first public comments on the Russia investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller pointedly refused to clear President Donald Trump of criminal wrongdoing, but said charging him with obstruction was "not an option" because of Justice Department policy against prosecuting a sitting president.

it is not doj regulations, it is the Constitution of the United States.
the standard of proof for impeachment is high crimes or misdemeanors.
or whatever Congress decides it is. I believe there is a reason why the founding fathers required a supermajority for impeachment of a president, this was to prevent frivolous or emotional decisions to be made quickly.
we have representative government in this country that's for good reason.
if the House of Representative does submit articles of impeachment, this will further Ensure victim status with this base,( see what they're doing to me when I try to drain the swamp). there is no new information Congress has had the report for some time, we will see what they do with it. it is worse if they attempted impeachment fail, then if they just keep the fire burning.

1

I’m fine with waiting until 2021 for him to be charged instead of an impeachment now.

3

Trump has done a really good job of throughly distracting everyone from the things that actually matter. Every time a problem comes up, he effectively and effortlessly finds a new way to outrage his opponents or infatuate his supporters.

If people realized that congress is not there to solve problems but rather to maintain the status quo, and realized just how tilted and unfair the table really is, I have no doubt there would be a revolution today. I don't want that though, because modern advances in information technology make it possible for a foreign power to actually gain control more so then they already do, and they would be the true benefactor in that scenario.

As much as I hate to say it, impeachment, while certainly called for, will only serve as a gesture against the orange shitstain. The Senate will NOT vote to impeach no matter what Trump does. The ONLY way to be rid of this fucker is to vote him out in 2020 I HATE that that's our reality but it is.

Forget impeachment, forget the 25th amendment, none of it will rid us of this cancer. He's too well protected by the R party who've sold out democracy for money, power and partisanship. American politics is a disgusting cesspool of corruption.

They still need to have hearings and impeach him. It is their duty to hold trump accountable no matter what the worthless repubs in the senate do.

@Redheadedgammy They consider it their "duty" to remain in power at all costs regardless of anything else.

@Redheadedgammy I don't think there's any benefit to it. He wouldn't be impeached and he'd twist it into another win. "The Dems tried to Impeach me but ccouldn't. Time for them to Give it up and STOP WASTING TACPAYER DOLLARS on there hopeless campayn of hate." I can see the tweet clearly in my head. It's just not worth it.

1

Even if they do impeach DT... Even if they convince republican senators to do the right thing... [Both things are highly improbable (or just plain impossible)]. Then, what? A "new" President, named Mike Pence?
Do we really believe that would be an improvement?
In Spanish we have this proverb (idiom) which plays with the word "malo" ("bad" ) and the name of a Central American country ("Guatemala" ): "Salió de Guatemala y llegó a Guatapeor". Its meaning is very simple: Beware of getting out of a bad situation (mala) just to get into a worse ("peor" ) situation.
Fools [no offense intended] rush in. Kick him out in 2020.

¡Tienes razon!

2

The GOP are not cowards, they are just standing behind their perverted interpretation of the constitution and their ideology of politics and power. That is what politics is all about in 'merca, applies to both parties and has very little to do with anything but greed and power. To hell with democracy, the constitution, the bill of rights, the rule of law and the citizenry.

That is correct. But many of them are cowards, too.

Asshole jr in the Senate and his traitor Republican promises to block impeachment

bobwjr Level 10 May 29, 2019

Two-thirds majority needed in the Senate to convict on impeachment. It will never happen. Those ass kissing Republicans in the Senate will not vote to remove Trump from office no matter how overwhelming the evidence is against him. 67 senators will have to vote to convict. Trump said that he could shoot someone in the middle of the street and nothing would happen to him. The Republicans will spin every single word and claim the opposite of what Mueller said.

3

And also, Congress needs to take action to prevent additional Russian interference in our elections. Too bad we don't have a president who has the balls and integrity to impose more sanctions and other actions to punish Russia for their past actions.

3

Unfortunately, after trump is gone, America will go through a dark period.

Things will get worse for American democracy before they get better. Civil unrest, etc.

A female hero will arise in 6 - 10 years. She's in the making, you'll see.

we may see a revolution in the future. it will not start in this country.
Americans have it too good. when you look at the way people live in Central and South America, it can only be described as object poverty. we have never seen a popular Revolution come from economic prosperity. it is more likely that we will see a collapse of the dollar, or major man-made or natural disaster, if this happens I hope you are prepared,
the comfort and security that you have enjoyed even under the Trump Administration, will will seem like an Impossible Dream

I think it's going to get worse.....period. I also don't think there will be a hero or that it will be female. Maybe in the perception of some people's minds, but not in reality. People viewed Obama as a hero and he continued corporate and foreign policy just like before. He even continued GWB draconian laws such as the Patriot Act and the NDAA. Everything that's been going on in the last 3 or so decades, or maybe even longer, has suggested a progressive deterioration in terms of our governance by both parties with issues like civil rights, social policy, corporate policy, and foreign policy that coincides with the rich getting richer, corporations getting contracts and priority over people pertaining to more expansive wars etc. Politicians like Warren and AOC are showing their true colors by not speaking up against regime change or corporations while seemingly being against them. Warren has actually talked positively about regime change in Venezuela and has seemed like any other war hawk on the issue. AOC has deferred to Democratic leadership on the issue of Venezuela, and those are the people she ran a campaign on as being complicit in what she wanted to change about the system. Hillary sure as hell won't be the hero.

2

But once he is no longer in office we can throw the book at him (hopefully, it will be a very large dictionary with a hardened steel cover).

2

I so look forward to replacing the Fake President with somebody who is SANE.

9

in a nutshell..he basically told Congress that he gave them the information to do their fucking job...

Exactly! The Democrats need to stop being afraid of repubs and their insane supporters and follow the law and the Constitution. To not impeach him is to allow lawless behavior to go unpunished. It will allow another one like trump in the future to say "well trump did it so why can't I".

@Redheadedgammy they need to start the process if only to expose the many things Mueller was alluding to...he gave them everything he has...I think there was enough that if there were no DOJ guidelines, there would be crimes...He all but said it...smart man
