American TV had -outer limits;twilight
zone,ect. which was looked on as fringe.
Hence any reference to such in daily life was looked on as NON reality or flight of
fancy.(superstition).Individual topics we're
bruseqly labeled fiction yet not fully explored or threshed out. Date pre 1950?
