I decided to extricate myself from my bed. A long, excruciatingly unenlightening process, but it indicated my concern for the day, and those within it. “I must remain a part of the Great Delusion”, I deluded myself.
Rain pattered in its puttering staccato on the window. I watched, waited and wondered why weather remained the core conversation at drab and draughty bus stops.
The faces of the huddled forms grimaced as the wet and windy winter transformed the dull grey slate paving slabs into glimmering and flickering puddles by the late dawn headlights of the cabs and cars, buses and bicycles on this cold, cloying Monday morning.
