A leather jacket, I believe it was around $150 or so

If jewellery counts, a wedding ring. It cost me pretty much everything. If not two suits.

I have a leather coat like the ones in the movie lost boys. I bought it in Korea in 1988 my friend and I each got one it cost us 60$ each back then. Had seen one in the leather store similar to mine the price tag was 700$. I know the can you sell it for that factor comes into play. My dingo boots are 130$

@Redcupcoffee The shoes were made of ostrich leg and wild boar. I bought it at Norstroms. Don't know the brand name. I bought it about 25 yrs ago before I retired. I believe Nostroms still ell them. Don't know what the charge now.

I'm such a cheapskate I don't spend anything on clothes unless I have to, probably explains why I'm unattached, but £80 on a Minnesota Vikings jacket many moons ago 🙂

It looks as though most of us are pretty sensible...
Not that there is anything wrong with treating yourself on occasion!
How about you, redcupcoffee?

@Redcupcoffee
Wow,, good find !
If I wasn't such a hermit, I'd drive to Michigan to wine and dine you ! 🙂

Work boots, I guess. About $100.

The most expensive clothing I buy are my boots, $75. But the most expensive thing I own would be the leather trench coat I inherited from my grandfather.

Suit Jacket from Jacobsens in Sarasota, years ago. Only when checking out did I discover why the service was so good. Lol. I wonder if I still have that now......

@Redcupcoffee my wife bought me a hideous 250 $ shirt which we returned and I bought a much nicer one for only 200 more $ . those were the days ! now I go to marks work wearhouse !

I had a DAKS suit made by Simpsons of Piccadilly many years ago .The price still makes my eyes water ! It was blue serge . I looked like a Mafia chieftain when I got married in it .

Once spent $175 for a silk dress for my brother-in-law's high end wedding in Greenwich, CT.
Think I wore it once.

Probably the winter long coat I bought near the beginning of winter, and it was on sale lol. Was marked for $200, but I got it for $140. I try not to buy clothing that is overly expensive because it never feels like it is worth it. Modestly priced clothing, or real good clothing on sale usually do the trick.

Schuberth s1 Pro Motorcycle helmet £650.00

I broke my wrist in a brand new pair of $80 Enzo boots years ago- so $500?

1

A Brooks Bros. woollen coat, which cost me £800 (around $1100) - I felt like an absolute scumbag (and an utter failure of a socialist) for spending so much on an item of clothing, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing and I really like a nice coat.

Most of my wardrobe came from the lost and found where my ex wife worked. I did recently buy a 45 dollar pair of walking shoes.

1

I had a $300 suit, which I almost never wore, and a $200 down coat which I wear when I go skiing or out in the desert on winter nights.

1

My work boots. $179-00 AUD

1

About £800 ($1100us) for a made to measure leather 'Onesie'. 😉
