Reminds me of growing up on a lake in Michigan.

Close enough right? 🙂

Looks lovely...warmer than here in Northern Ireland. What temperature is it?

It's almost 30 degrees

@Cari_Sans-Varc Very nice...it’s only 15 degrees here !

Polish countryside can be very beautiful — deceptively so: they are still dealing with massive pollution/contamination issues from the push to industrialize during the Post War period, as we were encouraged to do by our Soviet brothers.

So let's all raise our full wódka glasses and offer a toast to our Soviet Brethren!
I also propose a toast to Nature for being such a badass and gain the upperhand after so many years of violation and abuse. Luckily, we can once again bask in it's beauty and resilience- after 15 years living in Poland I can confirm that the Polish countryside has never been better. You should visit sometime 😉

@Cari_Sans-Varc Yeah, nature bounces back, doesn’t it! Still, I have a vivid memory of stopping to drink from a small river during a hike in the Tatry foothills, and horrified relatives running over to stop me, pointing out that a factory located just upstream dumps it’s waste into the water. I know Polish environmentalists have been working hard on such issues since the ‘90s, however. (BTW: Most of my family lives there, so I go visit every couple of years. Am even thinking of claiming my citizenship ...)
