"This post is no longer active"
I see this message on posts from time to time, today it was on one of mine. Can you tell me what it means/why it happens?
edit The post remains visible and I was even able to post an additional comment on it. It was in a group which I am a moderator of so don't think it was because of a block by someone.

As you can tell nobody knows for sure. Please send a message to site admin. You will get a response.

You're talking about the actual post, not the alert that takes you to the "cannot view post" page if it's been deleted or if they've blocked you when you click on the alert, I'm assuming.

I think it happens when a posts comments are getting heated and/or inane in one section and instead of deleting the whole thing admin just makes it a read only file so the "productive" parts remain but the contentious part doesnt result in mass blocking between members. Just a guess from the occasional times I've seen it, good chance I'm wrong.

I think it's deleted or they changed who gets it

It can also mean that the person has you blocked...I go back to look at how someone responded to my post back to them and find that they simply blocked me...I get blocked a lot... 🙂

I didn't know that. Maybe that's what happened....

It seems to me that, for some reasons, the author, or administrators, erased the message.
