Angela Merkle shakes uncontrollably

I watched this last night and found myself wanting to scream at that guy to at least ask her if she is OK.

I then found at least 4 other occasions where Ms. Merkle appears to violently shake, within the last year. She claims it was dehydration.

Anyone here seen something like this caused by dehydration?

Yes dehydration can kill if she won't improve her diet

I’m sure she is getting the best medical attention. Best not to speculate.

Yes, she has done this a couple of times, poor woman.

No, but out of deference for her privacy, I am just going to leave it there. There is a reason why hospitals, doctors and people in the medical profession do not ellaborate on a person's health.

Google it. There several possibilities, according to experts .

1

She could have an essential tremor. My dad has that. His hands and legs shake quite a bit.

2

maybe all Angela needs is a good glass of schnappes before she makes public appearances.
hard to understand how she would become dehydrated unless she's subjected to very high temps, which seems unlikely.

Perhaps she doesn't drink before ceremonies , where she will b on display for along period of time - weak bladder .

Yes, people get tremors from dehydration.

I think it's cruel to focus on Angela Merkle's involuntary trembling.

It could be Parkinson's disease.

I think the original post was out of concern...the video does show no one paying attention so maybe it is known already...I certainly don't think people would not come to her aid if she needed it...

Could be Parkinson's...my father in law shook like that ar random times...brought on by stress, dehydration, not eating...it was nothing he could control even with medication...

I was about to say the same.

My mom has Parkinson's. It's hard to tell in terms of Merkle. Generally the shaking in Parkinson's comes from the medication (having too much at certain times, even if slightly). From a couple of clips I've seen, she seems to be shivering more than Parkinson's related dyskinesia. Moreover, I would suspect these incidents would be much more frequent if she actually had Parkinson's.

However, the average age of Parkinson's onset in older people is 62 (I remember this because that was the age at which they diagnosed my mom). Merkel is 64...so that is suspicious.

@greyeyed123 I think it could be dehydration because my FIL hands mostly shook...he could not hold a glass or write sometimes...looked like hers started in her legs but I watched her hands...no shaking there...but, we are not doctors so I am not going to guess anymore...

@thinktwice All of my experience with Parkinson's is with my mom, and I am aware not everyone presents exactly the same way. But Merkle doesn't really look like dyskinesia to me. But you are right. We are not doctors.

Doesn't look like Parkinson's disease wrong tremors

I’ve had violent tremors from dehydration and electrolyte imbalance...when hospitalized, after vomiting and not holding down fluids for days, and various other symptoms. Never could I stand up while in that shape.

I remember my husband shaking like that right before he passed out...they said it was dehydration and heat stroke...wow...be careful...you can die...

@thinktwice I nearly did a few times recently, but more from blood pressure highs and lows. Though from low bp I was out for four hours, very little memory of it at all. I did to get to the ER, via Uber, though I barely recall calling them.
It’s scary but I’m much better now. I hope your husband is recovered, too.

@CarolinaGirl60 Actually, it happened in Wilmington, NC...EMT showed up at the beach with an ambulance...did an ekg on him and checked everything...gave him fluids and drove us to our car...I pulled out my insurance card and credit card...NO CHARGE...it is part of the city tourist thing...they take care of people! I was WOWED!

@thinktwice Us NC folks can be nice, some of us😁. And Wilmington is hella hot and humid. It can heat stroke you in no time. I’m glad it worked out so well❤️

@CarolinaGirl60 He has been acclimating himself...two more months!!!
