Many times: Flew through the air in a Volkswagen Beetle as part of a bad car crash in Sinaloa, Mexico; spent all night fighting to keep a small sailboat afloat in a horrible winter storm on the Pacific; almost fried by lightning several times in the mountains; and had my heart removed from my body during an 11-hour quadruple bypass surgery. None of these triggered anything on a “spiritual” level. No woo!

I went through the ice once, when I was eleven. I spent three days in a comatose state. And I don't remember any of those three days. No 'tunnels to the afterlife', no 'angels', no nothin! I also haven't gone out on the ice since!

Once. Nearly died in childbirth. I just floated up above, watching the baby being born and myself bleeding. I knew it was me. Then I was back in my body looking at the ceiling, screaming, terrified, in tremendous pain.

Several...not what these idiots say...peaceful, qiuiet, lovely colors, But you come back to pain, fear, etc.
Not ready to "save the world" (oh, or write a book, either.)
