...so quite a bit has happened since i last posted in may/june...ive taken up running seriously, and have been running between 5 to 7km to build up my stamina. My pb for my 7k is 49 min and 27 sec, which comes down to a pace of 7:04min/km. My 5ks i do either around the block at my house or around the perimetre of High Park. Recently I took part in two races, a solstice run in London Ontario, and the GGS Canada Day Run in Burlington this past Monday. Both were 5k, and I did them both in under 32 minutes. Yes, my fat ass needs to get rid of a bit of weight if im to reach a goal of 24-26 min for a 5k. I will be doing the sunset shuffle this August in Toronto as another official endurance test, but all these races are steps yoeards my goal of doing a 10k run which incidentally is three days before i turn 40...so its a present to myself in that ill be healthy and fit for the next 40 years!
