It makes me laugh how a large part of the community goes haywire if someone doesn't have enough grip over a certain language. They often forget the fact that they know one or two more languages than those nincompoops and the very language in which they are fluent, doesn't have to be their native one....

I know that my Spanish and other language skills are not great, but I also know that people respect that I am trying....my mother spoke in broken English because she was Japanese. She was highly intelligent in her own language and was able to write better than she spoke...I really disliked people mimicking her and making fun of her for making mistakes.

I give breaks and much admiration to multilingual people...but when it comes to native tongues, which on this site is mostly English, get it as correct as necessary to make your point...that is enough for me.

Well, except for "there, their". "too, to, two", "your, you're"...😉

It's always nice to call others nincompoops. Really makes them understand what you're trying to say.

I laughed because I hadn't heard that nomenclature since I was a kid...my dad used it a lot...bunch of nincompoops...ha ha
