Funny how treaty officially ended 2nd of August yet new missile tests are planned in the coming weeks. Either fastest R&D in history or the US broke the treaty a long time ago.
So fuck "Russian interference", by abandoning this treaty the US has now put us all in danger. You build on treaties, not abandon them.
NATO, again breaking treaties, is expanding Eastwards. Now this short range missile treaty is gone. Yet Russia is the threat??????

It’s rare and difficult to find ‘the facts.’ Heard a couple days ago, as the treaty ended, that it was a cooperation with Russia, allowing the US to begin to target China with short-range missiles.

It’s unfortunately necessary for militaries to continue development of weapons and strategy in order to counter the same, but whenever US citizens allow our Republican Party power - our military runs amok! …as they garner mega political contributions from our military industrial complex and the votes of our ‘enlisted personnel.’

@powder I’ll assume they'd be submarine launched … cuz I can’t imagine any neighboring nations (though I’m sure they’d love to!) allowing themselves to become launch sites or US targets..

@powder The US takes a lot of shit for having fucked with various ‘Central/ South American’ nations … but when considering some upstart dictator decides to become a launch site for the USSR.. taking them down makes a lot more sense..

I just had to ‘defend’ Hillary on another thread, E. Warren, too … both now called “war mongers.’’ Interesting, perhaps it’s my perspective as a US citizen, but I still find the legitimate defense of my nation paramount. And anyone wanting to seriously take us on, or out can watch us unite ~

@powder Another aspect that hurts bad ..is those of us (the majority) that did not vote for this ignorant blowhard ...though are/ will be blamed for his actions.

...I’ve voted for, J. E. Carter, twice; Walter Mondale; Michael Dukakis; W. J. Clinton, twice; Albert Gore Jr; John Kerry; Barack Obama, twice; and H. R. Clinton. What came to office between and instead are the reasons the USA is, often justifiably, hated by many around the world.

I tried, actively campaigned for all those above. What more can one do?

I’ve always thought treatise were a means of playing to the gallery.

No one can enforce them they are based on honesty and goodwill.

Qualities both a bit lacking currently I would suggest
