How sad that this would cause such hysteria. I would have been fine with it but, then again, my kids would have known that by 7th or 8th grade. That said, I can see parents in my area being upset by it.

This makes me sad that this is an issue even in CA. These types of issues are especially important during this time and I don't see how this is inappropriate.

The horror!! I swear to whatever gods and non gods, I cannot understand why people are so freaked out by other people living their truth. Ffs. The teacher prefers to identify as non binary and wanted to let the kids know how to address them. What's the big freaking deal?
