Sometimes I do favors so I can reward myself - putting credit in the karma bank.

I used to help a fellow farmer who was having a tough time quite a bit and never asked anything in return. Then he showed up at a land lease auction and ran me up several thousand dollars after I had done several thousand dollars worth of custom baling work for him and written it off because he said he couldn’t pay me. He also beat the local coop out of 40 grand. I decided I would never help him again.

Of course ,I assist people all the time and do not expect or want anything in return ,and will always refuse it when offered .If an individual wants something in return ,then this is obviously not a friend .

On the small stuff it is easy ... on the big issues there is sometimes a payback required
