True enough, but among the higher echelons of society it is well known that
a) The evil action is often the most pragmatic and necessary action
and
B) Society (their idea of it) is most often saved by it's own deviants, especially when they are used like a bullet from a gun

"And so, for that reason, I'm going to let the Americans in on the Atomic Bomb!"--Al Einstein

Dang … and to think he could have ‘handed it’ to hitlerCrazy Genius 😕

@Varn They already had it or ast least the raw materials, had it not been for the efforts of the Norwegian resistance and the allied bombing raids on the Heavy water plants in Norway In February 1943 (Operation Gunnerside), the Germans would have had atomic weapons first and we would all be writing in Deutsch.
Instead V2 rockets were loaded with conventional warheads that were devastating, but nowhere near as effective as they would have been.

@LenHazell53 Yup, I was thinking they may have started in ..the late thirties.

Which is the evil and which is the good? It’s not always clear. I’d say that it is our duty to work for our self-interest, and that our self interest is the wellbeing of all.

Sadly in such situations "all" is usually interpreted as the ruling class.

Einstein had trouble leaving Germany. He almost was captured by the Nazis where he would have been sent to a concentration camp or worse. He never considered his Jewishness till his life was in danger.
