I think he means that whatever idea you put forward there will always be people who oppose it [Why else does this web-site prosper?] . It is asking for practical ways to continue the discussion. In my opinion he is asking you to try to understand the workings of science i.e science method. Asking you when you meet problems that you are resilient and just keep going against apparent blockages.

He’s talking about actual real liberals with liberal traits, rare birds. The same thing could be said about any open minded person, liberal or conservative.

There is a Plain English Movement in the world exactly because of this unnecessary, convoluted, Lordy language probably written and spoken by elites to sound intellectual.
Translation appreciated
Scientists in general have to learn a new language of description that will actually help people to love science rather than hate it.

@St-Sinner every single time I see a 1,000 word post here, it can usually be condensed into 2-3 sentences, and usually turns out to be gibberish or trite (or both!) The volume of words obscures that! Then the poster goes off on me......well, everybody needs a hobby! Buwahahahaaaa!
