So I saw the dentist today for my annual checkup and needed a couple of fillings. With x-rays, cleaning and repair the bill came to $666.

There are many who would describe that as an omen. Just sayin'.

Check your crows. Always a good reference.

Aren't you on a dental plan?

@ToolGuy Yeah, makes sense. We didn't go on dental either as we both have dentures, & the cost of replacing them every several years is also cheaper than paying th monthly premiums.

Wow! Once again I am really thankful to be British. On 3rd September I had an abscess in my gum...got an emergency appointment same day. Dentist took an x-ray, removed tooth filling, drained the abscess, refilled the tooth with temporary filling and gave me prescription for antibiotic. Following week I went back to see him and he took another x-ray, refilled the tooth with permanent filling and cleaned and polished all teeth. The bill for all this was £80.47...I am an NHS patient so only pay a small percentage of the costs which a private patient would have to pay.
