For a "good" book there are a lot of horrible things happening in it. Im pretty sure that if an omnipotent being wrote a book, it would be a bit more progressive.

Sounds like a ripping yarn from Stephen King. Where can I get one?

Not only that, it would be a lot more coherent and not contradictory.

Imagine getting an instruction book on how to assemble something, and it kept on contradicting itself on how to get the job done. Well, the Bible is supposed to be an instruction book straight from this god and it is not only dead wrong when it comes to issues science has answered, it gives all kinds of opposing views on its nature and what it expects of its creation.

Precisely! You would certainly expect MUCH better in MANY ways from an omnipotent being.😉

It certainly holds the characteristics you would expect to find in a book written in the desert 2000 Yeats ago by a bunch of different men.
