"Christian fiction" is a redundancy.

All religion, and anything that has to do with it, is fiction.

The libranians would hate it , but I'd thank you .

I think 50 shades of Jesus is just too popular for it to be hidden.

Yep, found that out many a time, it looks good, get a few pages/chapters into it and WHAM, out comes the religious crap.
Had that happen to me a few times in a local Bookshop as well as the Library and copped an earful from the Bookshop Owner when I asked her " Why wasn't this trashy material placed where it should be, under Religion and not just fiction?"
And I'll also 'fess up' to turning religious books around on the shelves at my local library so the spine of the book faces the back of the shelves from time to time.
Oh, and I'd better 'fess up' to this as well while I'm at it, I also put little notes into religious books at libraries, etc, that say things like, " God does NOT exist, you've been taken for a ride," etc.

So, okay I'm ready for it, lay some penance upon me people....LOL

My cousin wrote a book recently and of course, tried to sell it to all and sundry. Deeper into the description, it comes to light that the female protagonist is ‘saving herself for marriage’.

I bumped into a Christian Sci-fi movie about 18 years ago. Early Sunday morning, I'm up before the rest of the family - give wife breakfast in bed toast for our daughter, let cats in/out, then settle down to watch something off a movie channel while I do the ironing.
The story was a Victorian scientist who leapt through time to 2002 in LA. He entered debate with the modern people about do you need to God in your life to be good and saw the demise of belief. He then traveled back and told his friend about the modern godless world and its wonders. His friend later tried to leap some time past the demise of Christianity, only to find he couldn't - God of course having given man free will, saw his children desert him, so in tantrum destroyed it all.
Moral of the story, believe or be destroyed as you can evil and live or good and die... It was bollocks! Warned family not to bother watching it once they got up. Further investigation showed there is a pile of vile Christian sci-fi out there.

I'm of the opinion that ALL "Christian writing" is fiction. I once took a book back to the store and demanded my money back for being cheated like that. (I didn't care for the ending.) I didn't get a refund, but, Hey! I was 24, and it made me feel better. Confused the hell out of the poor clerk.

Sounds like when I started reading "left behind". Forgot reading material and grabbed it at one of those magazine shops at the airport. First couple chapters looked ok and the it got religious. I could not keep going, left it in the seat pocket when I departed.

i guess so? i was really into christian fiction as a teen, and now that i think about it, i’m sure people could pick up some of those books without realizing what the message would be. i read mostly from authors i already knew or looked up the books online, so i knew what was coming lol

A lot of books written by Christians are like that, in my opinion. I sometimes make use of 'em for the bunnies' litter box.

I especially like the Left Behind series. All non believers die a fiery death. Funny stuff

One of the worst books I ever read was a Christian fiction book. The main characters were whiny, the plot was unrealistic, and the only sympathetic character was the one the book was trying to villify.

I get annoyed when I see the "Christian" section, or whatever they call it, at Barnes and Noble. The Christians feed one another horse shit, to reinforce their myth.

Christian fiction! Yeah, just check out the shit on the history/ discovery channels! What crap!

I don't mind any kind of fiction....as long as it's done well. Problem is most Christian fiction doesn't respect the modern reader, including christians. They never read such novel and whenever I mention such novels they quickly admit they hate those novels.
