can't even begin to count the number of times I've heard Pascals wager or some form of it mentioned in regard to my lack of belief. I can't believe Homer Simpson had the perfect answer for me!

Logical Translation (also, fuck pascal): It is better for us to fear what we do not know in the most ultimate of senses, by sacrificing our lives to pay tribute to an insane doctrine spouted by the lips of madmen waving ancient scribblings, just in case their advertising holds some unfortunate truth, instead of not wasting our time with useless drivel and enjoying life.

i think so, i really don't ever identify with anything and i read an article about it and did a little research and i found that i identified well with it, i walk the path between mage and fool and entered this life backwards, and i supposedly have native heritage but its unconfirmed and i haven't yet bothered to do a DNA test. (My grandpa was a orphan, he was rumored to be native american)

I love that quote. Thanks for posting it.

You also end up wasting the only life you have, rather than applying your precious consciousness to appreciate the true wonders of reality.
