Admittedly, this is weird, but whenever I open my linen cabinet and see all my towels and washcloths neatly folded and stacked, I feel happy.

Bear in mind, I threw out bags and bags and bags of linens after my hoarding ex moved out.

@Redcupcoffee I also really like freshly vacuumed carpets.

A really good bowel movement.

K, I said it......

Fer sure!!

a load off your mind

Grounding. Clean sheet nights are on a new level with a grounding sheet.

Cheez-it's in my soup.

I love cheese -it's. This is now a must do for me.

You mean, like popping bubble wrap?

My daughter sent me a video of my grandson opening the present I sent to him this last Christmas. He ignored the toy, threw the bubble-wrap on the floor and began stomping it. lol

Washing the dishes.
I can't stand dirty dishes left in the sink.

Someone sticking their finger in my belly button and wriggling it about

LOL:

@KingofHarts LMAO!

  • cleaning hair off a bar of soap
  • untangling a phone cord (for those of you who remember corded phones)
  • whenever anything that has a tendency to stick to its container (e.g., a cake) easily separates and leaves no mess

you get one of those artery destroying fish planks at LJS and pick up some steamed white rice from whatever chinese food place is open. take it home and fashion one bed of rice for one fish plank. Pour a dose of malt vinegar on it and enjoy. it's most delicious this way.

Oddly satisfying? Smashing the soles of my footy boots together to break apart the mud stuck between the studs. Probably because I like playing sports in the rain. Probably because I like walking in light rain. That's kind of 3 things.

Oddly satisfying? Such a broad question. Getting to know new people I have more in common with than my other friends. Local and long distance. My local and best friends are not into politics and social causes.

Biting the satin binding on the edge of a blanket.
You might as well say I'm a binding biter LOL

Running my fingers through soft fabric

@Redcupcoffee I have a 'softey', like a security blanket. It's a soft sheet that has years of wear to be extra soft, and I run my fingers through it all the time. It helps calm me down if I'm having anxiety. It's super strange to be 28 and have a security blanket, but oh well

I also like to smooth out the fabric into a triangle and stick a corner in my ear. Mom says I've done this since I was 3 months old lol

I'm with @Hominid . As I get older when basic bodily functions actually function it's more than oddly satisfying. It can be as satisfying as sex. 😉

Throwing things away when I clean.

Hearing the neighbours kids racing their bikes off my driveway, as they collide into each other, falling off bikes and scraping their knees. Or when they insist on kicking the ball on the road outside my place and it comes down and smacks one in the head. ahhh glorious days.

Al pastor burritos.

sitting on my porch drinking beer and accosting neighbours as they walk by !

Any kind of cleaning, organizing, fixing, repairing...crazy huh?

Folding a fitted sheet into a nice, neat square. I don't understand why so many people have difficulties with it. I don't do it often, I'm most likely to wash and put them back on.

Plaids that match. Put me near someone wearing a poorly assembled plaid garment and it is like fingernails on a chalk board.

Following patterns in fabrics and objects. Which is part of the reason I quilt and sew.
