Again, religious ignorance running amok;;;

There is an stone chapel for the virgen in The Bronx; it is there for years.

Some people are so far gone that take their cars and "literally bathe them" with water from this chapel to be blessed (most likely there is a faucet hidden in the stones). Other, a guy whose Spanish was quite bad said that a relative had kidneys stones and after drinking the water from this chapel the stones were gone.

How long religions -in particular Catholicism- will foment ignorance?

I've debated with religious folk who have threatened that I will lose my place in heaven. I laugh but don't see them as ignorant. Out of all the debates I've had, there is only one true fact that stands tall and on either side, only belief is factual. Nothing else has been proven.

When you base your life on a false premise...the conclusion is a negative one. IAW, to base your life on an imaginary entity is ignorant....specially when mankind has suffered the worst on account of "this condition".

@DUCHESSA It's ignorance on an intellectual level, not meant to be derogative.

@IAJO163 Well, the impact this "no derogative" ignorance has (and had) on mankind is quite scary....as scary as "the other" ignorance.

As long as there's an abundance of meme receptors. Isn't that what Dawkins called it, meme receptors??

It is what they do. They need ignorance and dependency even more than the political Left. Far more social damage has been effected by the church though if one includes damage to emotional amd sexual well being.

It's just beyond me
