The Atlantic presented this pregame meeting from an alternate universe. Too bad the Super Bowl is more likely to be honest than an impeachment trial: [theatlantic.com]
Funny analogy, but it’s not a good one. The impeachment was supposed to be like a grand jury hearing to decide whether to prosecute. In this case the hearing was highly political, and the decision was prejudiced and strictly along party lines. In an actual trial it is perfectly normal and common to file for a dismissal of charges before any evidence is presented, thereby saving time and money.
This is not a real court case. We are merely seeing politicians on both sides posturing and playing games. I see it as entertainment with no real significance.
