I would love to get back into vinyl, but.for.now it's digital, due to ease of access

I was big on compact discs for a number of years, but I'm getting more into digital nowadays, for convenience and storage space reasons. I'm putting all my music in mp3 files onto compact discs and DVD's.

Still have CDs, and even some tapes and vinyl. Too expensive to switch over to digital. If I want to listen to anything new, I'll use Spotify.

The music in my head

Nothing beats the sound of a 45 jukebox. I used to have a Rockola, it was awesome.

Actually still looking for a good plateform for my pitiful little mp3, mp4 library. Would like to expand my library and convert some of my vinyl. Suggestions? I'm currently using Pandora and google music and windows (barf) but I would like more flexibility.

What ever is available for what it is I'm looking for. Nowadays it's all digital, but I have quite a few colletible color vinyl.

I still have a shit ton of CD's from back in the day, but I mostly use online resources like Tidal and Deezer these days.

I'm all digital these days but I have a CD collection and some of them are CD's I have made myself. I'm able to make a CD as well as a studio could but homemade is burned into the disc while a pro CD is stamped in. Homemade will not last as long. I no longer carry CD's around with me however.
Vinyl is the best bet on sound and it is making a comeback. Take care of them and keep the scratches away and you have something of value.

Any medium. Vynil best. Use a lot of direct digital lossless formats too. FLAC,AAC etc...

Reel-to-reel. They had the warmth of vinyl and much more clarity.

I think I move with the time started with vinyl then cassette cd now digital youtube most of the time o download to play offline depend on the mood bliss to heavy rock

Live? Youtube etc....

I like vinyl for immersion in the music (having to flip means you pay more attention and the flow from song to song is planned), but digital is the way to go for most use cases. I can have all the music I want, sorted by mood, event, etc., ready to go with minimal effort and playing until I stop it.

So long as it is good music, I do NOT care how it is delivered... usually, NOT always, usually that means live.

Note: Back in 1980 (I think) a friend and I scored tickets to Lynyrd Skynyrd. They were so drunk/stoned they could NOT play in sync. We were big enough fans that we could listen to the lead guitar, or the drum beat, or the bass beat, whatever, and had to figure out which song it was... the vocals were there but a bit of a mess. I've never bought another Skynyrd album since. Part of what set me off is that the next day we were listening to KISW and they played a song from the concert, 'live' and it was beautiful! Turns out they were recording 16 individual tracks and frankensteined the individual pieces into sync. They WERE playing well, just NOT in concert (no pun intended).

This lead me to believe that some bands are great in studio, some are great live and some are good (if not great) at both... but not all.
