I love talking on the phone and I love going out on dates. I have no real problem with it. I just don't like when people you meet act like they like you one minute and then they don't the next or they go weeks without bothering to call you and then just pop up again.

Catfishing is possibly the most active scenario. But mine is I don't drive or have money to get a ride. I would need to get a ride from that petson at least in the next block over to be safe. Plus I am so used to rejection it's a forced habit.

I would say just the opposite. In my experience, women always give false names and are obsessed with CL stalkers and the like. Compared to internet dating, the bar scene is becoming the better choice. YUCK, I AM DOOMED!!!

One theory is that their pictures might not match reality, and they know it. I met my wife in person back in '98 after talking with her in a chat room. I had no fear of meeting her in person.

And vice versa! And women do this !

Personally I prefer to meet after I make contact with a woman online after text it to and then a conversation on the phone. I provide my pertinent contact information on my profile.

The problem I have is getting women to call my # or take the hint and give me theirs or actually show up after I drive an hour to meet them. It's 2018 and you would be surprised by who many 50 year old women tell me "My mother said never call a guy first" good luck with that- the problem is they might be totally normal except for that, but I will never know.

I have no problem meeting face to face.Logistics can be a problem though.

I'd like to meet and find out what the other person is like. The sooner the better. Even today if possible. I've gotten most responses from women about 1/3 my age. What they really what is a MoneyGram for thier attention. Then, like others, women's pictures are 30 years old. Mine is 6 years old and I don't look any different now than then. Been rebuffed a few times for it though. I've had a successful career, have a secure retirement, house; 3 cars and a lot of other all paid for. Trouble now is most women aren't interested since I'm too old. But that goes both ways, most of them I'm not interested either.
