I can't say I'm very shocked by these comments, but it does make me wonder how these people could possibly ever claim to be moral when they are calling for the death of other human beings based soley on their lack of belief.

I have often thought that religious belief leads to a certain dichotomy of thought which makes them unable to parce reality from their idealized versions of the world. I feel as though this meme(Dawkins/actual defintion) has crept into many other aspects of the social sphere as well; creating idealogues that are unable to accept nuance in discussion and creating an Us vs. Them atmosphere, which only serves to divide us further. Ultimately, I believe this mentality will be our undoing. How do we procure balance in the world when people are unable/unwilling to have a rational discussion over their own perceived beliefs? Or is it even possible?

Religion is nothing more than a glorified Cult Of dominance, whose members are dominated at times by sociopathic men who lord over women, children, and other weak men!!!

It will always be them against us!!!

Their warped morality and ethics have morphed into cults of overt death and murder as their way of handling non members and/or nonbelievers!!!

We are the enemy no matter how one acts or behaves with them!!!

We now live within the time of obstructionist fascist who use religion to control and heard their flocks of blinded sheep, being lead to slaughter by their own dim witted belief they are all exceptional, that they will be spared, not be the ones destroyed as other are diminish to dust!!!

LOL!!!

Religious people claim their morals are objective, and come from god. If morals come from god, then they are subjective.

The great unwashed mentally, including trumpers and evangelicals

Actually...I think they have been washed, as in "brain"...Since early childhood

Followers of Senator Matt Shea perhaps?

Those are NOT christian comments. According to the mythology, Jesus taught that we should love one another, even our enemies.

That's the hypocrisy of those pious and peace loving "christians!"

These facebook quotes are pretty scary. Even more so if Trump is re-elected or Pence becomes ''our leader." Both will move the country toward theocracy, -- big time. First to go will be abortion rights and then we'll see prayer in public schools.

It will be so nice once the USA desides to grow up and join the rest of the adult world

Agreed.

Yikes, Nice Christians. This must be the inquisition squad. Probably KKKers too.

Religion, seen as a child, is violent....where the child of god is always "right", and the giant, "evil", or anything not christian, is wrong, and too be banished......just one of the reasons that religion should be considered as an abuse of children......many, though reaching the age of reason, instead of looking at life with rational reasoning, just can't let go of their childhood teachings...that "different", doesn't mean evil.

Very sound reasoning there mate!

echk..they do it all the time against non christians, non white, gays, etc. pretty hypocritical- they being a god loves everyone forgiveness christian. they can say whatever they want. freedom of speech. just don't say it infront of my face. I remember when I got to the 3rd grade when my best friend told me she could not play with me anymore because her mom said that I was not a JW so I would not be going to heaven so she was sad for me.

I believe what is happening is the internet has allowed an unmasking of prejudices with no holds barred. People who would be afraid to voice what they were "programmed" with all their lives now have what they believe to be a "bullet proof forum" that allows them to freely lash out against anyone or anything that appears contrary to their fundamental upbringing.
All the fears, lies and hatreds that humanity has had molded into our psyche was previously suppressed to the extent that we as a community could function and not worry we would be attacked...that has all changed.
Now ANYONE with internet access can be a psychotic Rambo and get away with spreading their sick and distorted views on anyone they choose. It can be an individual, a group, an organization, a philosophy...it can be science and it can be religion. Age is not a restriction either...case in point...Trump vs Greta Thuneberg(? spell he last name right?)
What's frustrating is the ones who are generating the hate speech are on one side poorly educated and most certainly products of generations of mindless, self justifying fundamentalists. On the other side are the wealthy, privileged ruling class who will stop at nothing to cement their status and perceived authority. One drives the other and provides the tools to create and endorse the chaos. People can remain anonymous so they feel empowered...
The fear of being OUTED PUBLICLY has lessened to the point that the WORST in people comes out. Add to this the current Administration that fans the flames of division and we now are in the midst of "THE PERFECT STORM"
This is not going to get better anytime soon.

I think just watching secular TV will eventually erode even the most fanatical religious nuts. If they realize that most of their great singer, TV and movie heroes are nonbelievers, atheism will gradually be accepted, as what happened with the gay agenda. Suddenly, the majority of the public didn't care anymore.

Those Atheists are just to clever to be allowed to live, it makes it so obvious just how stupid those Believers and Far Right morons really are. Kill them all, let god sort them out. 😀

I guess they've never heard of the fruits of the spirit or the ministry of reconciliation with God.
