living as an outspoken agnostic these days, I find militant atheists are as equally offensive to me as fundamental christians... in my 50+ years of life experience, I must acknowledge that "we dont' know what we don't know"... science is ever evolving as we DO know... and I will entertain the thoughts that the current magic & mystery in life has the potential one day to be explained by a newly discovered scientific theory. why... why not ???

I found this out today, after posting a link to noetic.org. The immediate dismissal and vitriol was stunning.

Always best to stay open minded and let any and all evidence prevail.

Don't be closed minded to all possibilities. Never know what science might come acrossed next.

I totally agree. We don't know what we don't know. I believe ALL religions are man-made and god (if there is one) is made in man's image. At this particular moment, I may be more inclined to believe we may have derived from an extraterrestrial alien experiment - yet one must ask - "where did THEY come from?" - we walk it back - "where did the extraterrestrials come from?" You can do this all the way to the "easy explanation of - It was god" - so then where did god come from? This is where our heads explode. I wish I had the answer. If I did, I'd form a tax exempt religion and put Joel Osteen out of business!
