In the Great Britain, the immigration rules are now changing.
Low-skilled workers would not get visas under post-Brexit immigration plans unveiled by the government.
It is urging employers to "move away" from relying on "cheap labour" from Europe and invest in retaining staff and developing automation technology.
The Home Office said EU and non-EU citizens coming to the UK would be treated equally after UK-EU free movement ends on 31 December.
Under the plan, the definition of skilled workers would be expanded to include those educated to A-level/Scottish Highers-equivalent standard, not just graduate level, as is currently the case.
Waiting tables and certain types of farm worker would be removed from the new skilled category, but new additions would include carpentry, plastering and childminding.

As a grandchild of immigrants who couldn't speak the language ; my father (7th grade education)went on to fight HITLER,raise 3college graduates,and work for the US government. Our 1st Ladies grand parents just BECAME CITIZENS*** so what goes around comes around.
Our collective "head in the sand " attitude about who lives on this planet ( and who belongs where) is archaic and needs to be jettisoned or it might be OUR DEMISE !!!

One of the main issues with this is that under the new rules, anyone earning less than £25,600 per annum is classified as an "unskilled" worker. The starting salary for nurses, paramedics, midwives, radiographers, care assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the National Health Service, which relies heavily on "unskilled" immigrants with suitable qualifications and training in these fields, is below that figure.
Yet another poorly thought-out and probably unworkable scheme by the Conservatives who seem only capable of coming up with knee-jerk reactions to try to appease all the voters who ditched them and supported UKIP instead when UKIP were the only party willing to play up to the "bloody foreigners coming over here and taking our jobs" crowd.
