Perhaps someone can explain something to us "Lefties". Some of us don't understand why you so-called Conservatives would want to back a treasonous coup by a consortium of billionaires and ex "Dixicrats" and Religious Fundamentalist Fanatics, backed by Russia (our political rivals and enemies of democracy) and financed in part by the Deutche Bank, religious fanatics and terrorist orgainizations. What is in it for you when the smoke clears. Will you get a kick out of seeing Liberals and intellectuals rotting in prison camps? Will you be happy to lose your civil rights? Are you tired of breathing oxygen and drinking potable water? Are you afraid of losing your right to own the latest automatic weapon? Do you fear the truth? Is this all because we had the temerity to elect a bi-racial Constitutional Scholar to the White house. I hope you enjoy the return of "Jim Crow", because he's moving to Washington! If you love traditional "Southern Justice", read John Grisham. He knows, especially his latest, "The Reckoning" Trump has never read any books but he knows about 'Southern Justice" It's the kind of law he prefers.

What's in it for them?
Money, power, and the satisfaction they are doing the Lord's work. AND giving the red guy with the pitchfork a beat down.
What do you think?

Do those two-toothed yobbos at Trump's rallies wearing red caps really have money and power?

@fishline79 You asked what do they WANT! SOME are already well-off--they want POWER through organized pressure exerted by the holy bleeding church of Jesus Christ somewhere in Bakersfield, California! (Stones)

@Storm1752 Is that a quotation? "(Stones)" I'm not sure I follow . What is the Bakersfield connection?

@fishline79 Haha....yes, it's The Church of the Sacred Bleeding Heart, but it's actually located in Los Angeles... sorry, I should've looked it up. It's a song about the Girl with the Faraway Eyes.
I was being playful/sarcastic/stupid.. The guy (Jagger) was singing the song IN Bakersfield. He was so happy to be informed if he sent in $20 "all my dreams would come true," he ran 20 red lights in [Jesus Christ's] honor.

@Storm1752 So is the song serious or sarcasm?

@fishline79 HEAVY sarcasm. It's Mick Jagger! What do YOU think?

@Storm1752 Ooooh, THAT Jagger!

Stupidity and or greed.

Simplistic, but OK, I guess that covers a good percentage of the population, especially in the South. Sorry,of course that isn't everybody but I really believe that the "Confederate" mentality is at the heart of the problem."The South Shall Rise Again"

@fishline79 Yep

@Sticks48 I won't ask if that means you agree with the statement.

@fishline79 I do agree with your statement. I have spent some time in the deep South and there is definitely something wrong with way too many of those folks, but it is the same in Ark, Okla, and parts of Texas. There is a willful ignorance that is just plain scary.

@fishline79 Fortunately, not the entire South. North Carolina has its share of rebel flag-waving yahoos, but also many areas of liberal/leftist/progressive folks. Same in Virginia.
It seems to me that xenophobia plays as big a part as willful ignorance. People fear what they don’t know, and it’s easy to increase that fear with hateful rhetoric. Add racism and it really gets ugly.

@CarolinaGirl60 My experience in the Southeast was they are way more fanatical about their religion and want to push it on you more so than here in Texas or Oklahoma. I haven't been there in awhile. Maybe it has changed.

@Sticks48 I always thought Oaklahoma was the proverbial "buckle" on the Bible belt. Anyway that part of the country certainly commands a clear lead in the "nut case" sects, ie. Penticostal, 7th day Adventists, snake handlers, holy rollers etc. See "Religilous" by Bill Maher.
