Another way to state the obvious is to define freedom in the current political nightmare. Freedom is the concept that one can make a choice. Making a choice is supposed to be the way freedom is experienced. So Am I experiencing freedom when I pay into Social Security and Medicare for my entire life so far and then find that I can access none of these. I have the choice of working for the rest of my life, I am now almost 70, so to experience freedom I can work and not get any benefit from the past 52 years. I have the choice to get insurance other than what is offered by Medicare. I do this through the only company that offers it in this area. I get what they offer and they can determine what care I will get. I am free to choose who I will pay to rip me off. Profit over my wellbeing. I try to work and pay my bills, however, by doing this I am not guaranteed the money I am using will keep its value, it does not so I am free to work for the same money worth what I made fifty years ago, except now things are far more expensive. I tam free, but to do what? Vote, the Russians are now influencing our elections so the Republicans can get their people in office and they can run the country the way they want. I am free to vote, I am free to have that falsely represented and counted for people I neither like or want in office. I am free to live in a country where the rule of law has precedence over those who are criminals, have you been paying attention lately, in what world? End of rant. Thoughts?

Social communism was practised widely in the USA during the "hippy" 60s.
