A posting about dreams coming true brings me to ask if others have been told BEFORE the fact about a dream that subsequently came true. My late wife had dreams about death and on four occasions told me BEFORE the fact about dream deaths that occurred soon after.

It's often the brain sensing that death is imminent

I'm not sure it's really a dream but my paternal grandfather was in the hospital when my parents separated.

When I visited him in the hospital, he always had me shave him . He had never been a cuddly loving grandfather to me and I remember very few vocalizations from him at all. My grandmother told me he would not allow anyone else to shave him.
I did as he ask and thank heavens for the fact that he had an electric razor.

After I went to sleep that night, I woke up about 2 am violently vomiting. While I was cleaning up, we received a phone call that he had just died.It may not be a dream but it was definitely something I felt to be supernatural at the time.

I’ve received many premonitions of death, in a varioof ways. I’d blocked it for years, but as I’m now doing energy healing work, have opened myself to receiving this kind of energy. It’s called “Sacred Witness”, in holding space or energetically supporting the spirit on its journey. (My interpretation: a kind of assistance you might give to an older person crossing the street)

i'd love to hear some specifics

My first occurrence, was with a childhood friend of my youngest daughter. The child’s mother was delivering her daughter fir a luncheon visit and then I was walking the children to an afternoon Kindergarten class. They arrived late, due to a little driving incident which had occurred enroute. As they were behind schedule, the mother hadn’t buckled the child into the car seat and when they came to an abrupt stop at a stop sign the child had bumped her head on the dashboard of the car (as it was in the front seat). When they arrived at our home relayed the story, I cautioned the Mom to take her time & be safe. When making sandwiches & feeding the girls, I heard a voice say that this child would die. I recall looking at the beautiful little golden haired, blue eyed happy child, and denied the voice, saying this would not happen. It was about a week later when the child was hit by a car & killed instantly. I was working part time teaching school. My husband, who was home recovering from a surgery called my school to speak with me about the tragedy before I arrived home, I knew when he asked me to sit down to prepare for the bad news, what he would say. I was engulfed with sorrow and remorse, because I felt I should have done more to prevent the loss of this child. I had denied it could occur, and the message I had received. I felt responsible, although realistically there was nothing I could have done. I received servers more messages, in different but all very visceral ways, and the last one was my minister, (at the time) who had counselled me in support saying that I was not responsible, but was a Sacred Witness. He joked and asked if he would die...to which I responded no, of course. But, within the year, he too, had died in a car accident. His words were of little comfort at the time.

I had one quite detailed dream that came true, in all its detail.
