Is anyone more fascinated than afraid with how everyone is responding to this Pandemic/ quarantine situation? Obviously the panic buying and stock market drop is to be expected along with a drop to the worlds GDP but I’d say 95% of people are pretty much normal and maybe a little worried. It makes me wonder with how much destabilization has occurred if terrorists of the future or hostile nations will be more focused on biowarfare.

It is fascinating, if not overwhelming.. And, it’s happening so fast. Not scared or worried for myself, but more so regarding my young adult children, their lives & livelihoods, and that of their mates.

Actually, living through stuff like this was bred into me, I’m prepared. My parents are prepared to die, and may. I wouldn’t have wished it on humanity, but am not surprised by anything I’ve witnessed so far.

No nation state would have developed this, unless they’d pre-inoculated their people … and that kind of secrecy is impossible.. Nope, it’s Nature’s revenge ~

Quizical is more like it for me. I walked into a public library this morning, and was stopped by two police cadets seated at a table.
"Halt!"
"Do you have a bad cough?"
"No"
"Have you been overseas lately?"
"No"
"Have you been in close contact with someone who returned from a trip overseas?"
"No"
"You may pass!"

Good grief!

I'm not sure where you are, but 95% of people being 'pretty much normal' is not what I've witnessed. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, the bars, restaurants and health clubs are locked up, the freeways are empty, the schools are closed and gatherings are limited to 10 persons. In fact, 95% of the people in our city appear to be following the protocols, while 5% of the populace are behaving 'pretty much normal' as the selfish assholes they always were.
