I apologize for my silliness. This is interesting. My geology teacher in college used pictures he had taken of the african rift valley in his classes. I understand more now how great that was.
FYI:: One of the Azores islands is splitting. The thought is that if/when the part facing west falls splits, the eastern US will experience a major tsunami. This could happen at anytime.
Great, another catastrophe to worry about everyday.
Good thing I live in Michigan, one of the safest places on the planet.
