One for you "lovers" of 45. He or his followers have come up with the expression "Trump Derangement Syndrome".

Has anyone come up with a term to identify these indoctrinated / hypnotised / mentally deranged people who trot the expression out to insult anyone trying to break through their cognitive dissonance?

They are as rabid in their fervour as the happy slappies, the proselytising Lutherans, Anglicans, Catholics, Muslims or any other godbotherer. I'm sure they want to or have already deified Trump.

I suggest that it is a form of folie en masse (folie à deux extended!)

Ping @Raven.

Anyone any better suggestions?

#45's followers stole that term from us liberals. During the Obama years we coined "Obama Derangement Syndrome" to describe all the people who hated Obama for imaginary reasons.

Now, I use "Trump Derangement Syndrome" to describe people who like #45 and/or who think he's doing a good job.

Interesting. I have an acquaintance who keeps using it to rile me because I do not comment - good or bad on anything that Trump does.
It is as if he is programmed or deeply hypnotised. He doesn't even live in America.

I have never been good at naming things, this being no exception but I'll save the post to see what responses you may get. Will the winner get a prize? 🙂

2 kisses and a big hug to be collected in Australia suffice?
