Good leaders sometimes have to make harsh decisions. Not to decide is to decide on disaster.

The river of organic life will flow on unabated Nature is being nature, working as it must.

How so so tragic and sad! I hope USA doesn't get to that point.

The small island where I live only has 9 respirators for 72,000 people. So I am glad that our state governor, and local mayor are implementing bold emergency directives to protect the residents in our isolated community. We basically have a moat around our islands, and we are pulling up the drawbridges! Hopefully it's not too late.

Correct, BOLD action. We need to innovate and help out. How do we all do that at this time?

@Flowerwall Pressure on your local government, if the national government isn't helping. The response of our state may seem harsh, and many wish it would have come sooner, but better late than never to isolate and practice social distancing.

Everyone should be made to feel they are part of the solution by staying in and watching TV or cleaning closets instead of interacting with the community.

My grandsons can feel they are helping by washing their hands to the tune of the ABC song -- we all need to contribute and sacrifice to beat a common enemy - this virus.

Strong leadership - in continuity with all states - and countries is how we are going to beat it. People need to stay home for 14+ days to stop the spread of this thing! For us, it is going to be 6 weeks it sounds like.

@Julie808 I don't think completely isolating is a good idea. Only for those in high risk categories.

@Flowerwall That's how we end up with a problem like Italy. I'm glad we are isolating -- if the healthy asymptomatic people keep passing it around then the people at risk will need to continue to be isolated forever. I'm good with not giving the virus any hosts until it dies out. I'm over 60, and may have contracted it earlier this year and already recovered, but I wouldn't want to wish what I had (be it corona virus or not) on anyone. Let's bite the bullet and starve this virus of hosts. That's my feeling.
