Here's the issue i have and i was part of the church for 30 years. The whole aspect of "God is going to save us' from this evil from Satan. If you believe your bible then it says plainly in Isaiah 45:7 that God is the creator of Good and Evil. So if you believe the Bible then God created the Evil. So we have to pray for mercy and for god to stop the evil that he has brought our way. However God created us that we should love the "So called Sin" that he is inflicting these plagues on us with . So God makes us to where it's difficult not to sin only to punish us with painful afflictions when we do sin. Why didn't god just make us where we wouldn't sin or Forgive us when we do with punishing us. I better stop now because i'm trying to use common sense with religion.

I don't understand how this is different from flawmart cutting their hours. It doesn't matter if there are two people or 2000. Eventually, someone has to go out. ( But if you send me all your money, I will stay home. Some of the time....)

Stupid-19 is our savior.

You have to wonder how history will judge the actions of today’s leaders. Also how the people that trusted them will be looked at

Not ALL of us.
We lived alongside the Black Death for centuries and its mortality was 95%, not 2%.
But it will be socially transformative.

WE are more likely to see something approaching 5% because our systems won't hold, we will run out of beds, of vents in some places at some times and those failures will ripple, causing heart attacks, car accidents and so forth to become collateral damage and further inflating that number.

IF we all do well we hold it down to less than 2 million, but that assumes a lot in the term "well", as with nothing , ZERO EFFORT, it would be around 14 million or so.
IF we do really well in our reaction and response we could hold it down to the hundreds of thousands.

BUT that reality is not yet sinking in to many people, which makes them less likely to do everything they can. Hundreds of thousands is more than several great wars combined. That means everyones family is likely to lose someone or more than one someone. To reduce your own families risk, reduce you own and social distance.

The longer you can prevent your own infection the longer we have to develop medicines and treatments, the better your, or your loved ones chance to survive.

C-19 is not going anywhere. It evolved to breed in us to our detriment and will do so until we figure out how to treat or stop it. Until then, social distancing needs to become the new normal, even after this wave passes.
