Witches, ah yes the VERY word, it actually comes from Anglo-Saxon whom the writers of the so called Bible, there are TWO ways of spelling it in Anglo-Saxon, Wicca, pronounced Witcha Means "Wise man" and Wicce pronounced Witcheh means "Wise woman" what profoundly hurts me as I AM a witch, is when New Age Wiccans say THEY are the continuation of the "Old Beliefs" AKA The Craft, witch is a word foisted upon us by the religious arseholes, the Wiccan RELIGION the Craft is NOT a religious belief at all, after all it was INVENTED by Gardener in 1952 WISH I could capitalise numbers, one year AFTER the witchcraft law was repealed, Wicca is actually a mixture of Christianity, Islam, Bhuddhism, Hindu and other religious practices, now to the point my friends, The Craft, hereafter called witchcraft is NOT and has NEVER been a religion, the early "witches" were healers and midwives, very learned in herbal law '(Lore) but were persecuted for merely saving lives, the 'healing' at that time was the responsibility of monks and priests and they were severly p1ssed off with the Wiccans and Wiccens that the latter two had a higher survival rate than the monks and priests, after all how dare those thrice damned Pagans out doctor THEM, so using the Anglo-Saxon word was used to damn them, OK gone on long enough anyone want to know more about the NON-RELIGIOUS ways of the Craft, acknowledg-ing that The Craft is NOT a religion just contact me.

Being a Witch i will say that some Witches follow a spirital path centered around respecting and caring for nature. Some Witches are focused on power and for some this is simple a game.
