Reading recently that sqatting may be a healthier resting pose than sitting. I have been attempting it but my balance is off so maintaining is difficult. Any yoga practitioners have suggestions on good ways to maintain the pose while I adjust. Does anyone use this in normal life? If I can get this organized it could be quiet useful for gardening.

Hold on to a door knob for awhile....
Put a book under each heel
Increase your core strength by doing situps or legs raises...
Put your hands on your hips and twist back and forth...
Or start doing a duck walk... That helps immensely with balance, leg strength and butt strength... 😊

I usually only squat in order to lift. I do however hunker when something to sit on isn't available.

normally thats me two.

@Allamanda You rest your rear on the back of your ankle, on your toes on that foot, while the other foot is flat on the ground.

Put something under your heels so you are on your toes a bit more. Also try holding something like a volley ball or soccer ball between your knees and see if that helps
