With all the protests, I wonder is Trump the Gorbachev of the republican party, the US or just a blip that we will overcome. For those of you that don't remember Gorbachev presided over the fall of the Soviet Union, leading to its breakup and loss of valuable position in the world.

Mikael Gorbachev was a positive influence was a reformer and a positive influence on the world. So I see no similarities in the two leaders. And no the United States won't disband. I hope he gets defeated in November, if he gets re-elected I don't know what will happen after that.
I think and hope that Trump may be the Gorbachev of the global dominance of the American Empire.
