@gigihein In Ireland we fund politicians from Central government funding and nobody is allowed give more that 5000 euro to any one political party. We have outlawed what you call Super packs. And there is a limit on how much any one politician can spend on their election campaign. And if you go over that limit it's a criminal offence. We do not have politicians that are in the pockets of Big corporations or special interest groups. Theses rules have come in over the last 20 years and before we had theses rules some of our most powerful politicians were funded by very wealthy people and they were corrupt. This has stopped now. And our corruption levels have plummeted to almost zero. We even had one of our government ministers convicted and sent to prison for putting a false Cell phone bill in as an expense. He went to prison for a year over a 150 Euro Cell phone bill
