And my poor cat is going to need to hide most of tonight (and probably tomorrow night) because CT is a legal state for Fireworks (Ugh). lol

We are trapped social distancing and trying to stay alive and needed desperately to get rid of This Orange Shit Stain . Better next Year this time .

Petunia has been snarling at me while we do yard work. It involves clearing brush out of my largely abandoned vegetable garden. After having two strokes, I stagger and when I fall getting back up is a major deal. The strokes sucked most of the energy out of me.

I hated it because while I had it running I had enriched the soil in the five gallon pots to the level of Mississippi bottom land. Had to throw all those five dozen or so black five gallon pots away.

It was all on raised platforms, so I've been tearing them down as well. By 11 p.m. we called it quits. I've got three trips to the dump to get rid of the plastic, metal and wood I used to build my dream garden back in 2008.

We still have more work. Maybe three or more mornings of work. Burned out my hedge trimmer in the process. I have delusions I can repair it.

Right now, I'm covered in sweat and dirt waiting for Petunia to get out of the shower.

I have hopes if we spray ourselves with bug repellent, we can spend this evening on the front deck and watch the neighbors fire off floral shells and sky rockets at a social distance. The firework vendors claim they're having record sales.

Thank you but it is Independence Day and not for everyone. Not to be a nudge, just say'in. It is celebrated with no mention of how the revolution suffered How the first casualty according to tradition was a man of African descent, Crispis Atticus. It has become a reason to set off fireworks all week instead of one day. I hate it & so do my livestock. Americans. Ugh!

I just want to say HAPPY JULY 4TH, back at ya, as well as any other you might want to celebrate...appreciate the kind wishes.

And a great day to you also. I did no fireworks and have not for a very long time. Others here seem not to understand why i am "not celebrating my freedom." Wasn't that over 200 years ago?
