your right. I don't want to swear on a bible to anything, I don't want to get married as I know who I want to be with. dump all that stuff in these churches and leave it there and I'm being nice. I don't like being pigeonholed as anything but this religious nonsense somehow means I got to have a name like an atheist rather than a free thinker or forward thinker. my dogs don't believe in any of that and they're not called agnostic or secular but this site is very good and we have to name everything because thats how humans work. love this site.

As ErichZannIII said, our constitution supposedly grants us a separation of church and state but those squirmy religionists sure do find ways to circumvent the first amendment. Having people like you just standing firm on your thoughts and making friends and neighbors aware of where you stand will, I believe, allow people to see we are thoughtful, law-abiding, moral people and will change the attitude of the majority toward us. We will go through a reformation just like the gays did recently and people will no longer be afraid to come out of the closet.
