Cathie Wood, CEO and founder of ARK Invest, claims Tesla can start a ride sharing system to compete with Uber and others, which can be profitable using EVs now, while paying drivers enough to satisfy CA regulations. I havent seen her plan, but it seems to me to be risky. Moreover, Tesla hasn't either done it or announced they will do it.

Tesla has promised a similar service, robotaxis, to be so inexpensive very few people will buy cars. I think Uber will be bankrupt before 2040.
