Got up this morning and checked the progress of the Holiday Farm fire here in Oregon. It is especially important to me as my home in Brownsville is just 20 miles from the leading edge of the fire. Last night ash was falling and the air was almost unbreatheable. This morning at nearly 11, the air quality is better and the ash has stopped falling, probably due to the lack of wind which we had yesterday. The little towns of Vida and Blue River, about 35 miles away, have been burned to the ground.
