Here's a thought to pass on to a Democratic senator.
First ask Coney Barret if she thinks men and women have equal rights under law.
Then ask Coney Barret what she thinks of men who have extra-marital sex.
If she condemns them, ask if she condemns Trump. .. and what punishment it should merit.
If she accepts it as normal, then ask how about women who have extra-marital sex.
If she won't accept that, she's a hypocrite regarding equality before the law.
If she does, then how does that square with her religion.
Excellent questions, Petter! How do we know that anything she says is true? Good Catholics know that all they have to do is ATONE and be HEARTILY SORRY, rattle a few beads, mumble a few verses and BINGO....they're forgiven. So, lying about one's true beliefs in order to wave the sword of Xtian righteousness is easily forgiven.
SIGH.
This was A Very Fast Nomination shown on all our news channels including all channels we have access to abroad. I'm sure many American people are gasping
But it could actually turn out to be fortuitous. By rushing to nominate a young, ultra-fanatic, inexperienced candidate, there is a risk of ultimate rejection. Should that happen, then it will be too close to election time for another nomination before November.
Of course, there would still be time before Christmas, ....... unfortunately.
@Petter she lives by the (religious) book and will base her view point and decisions on exactly that. Society in general (and women in particular) will be abandoned or condemned by her (religious) biased rulings, instead of being for them, she'll be against them. ...and there's the abortion rights issue.
After the stupidity of the Dems at Brett Kavanaugh's hearings, ( & the 2016 elections & the 2020 primary) I don't ask anything of them.
just to bring you up to speed, frat boy perjured himself five documented times during the hearings...democrats will impeach him if they take control ...the republicans turned a blind eye to his misdeeds ...filling that seat with one of their doboys was a top priority
@Redneckliberal I understand except I did not know a Supreme Court justice could be impeached.
@twill Yep...indicted tried convicted and jailed also!!
