Yesterday I drove 125 miles through rural East Central Minnesota. Again I amused myself counting Presidential campaign yard signs along the way.

The tally this time was 32 Trump and 8 Biden.

I know this has no predictive power on a national level. I do think it is an interesting indicator of political preferences in this small segment of flyover country.

Took a long ride yesterday, and a nice one the day before … here, near the butthole of Virginia, I’d say 98% were trump signs.. Disgusting and depressing, but they’re over-churched under-educated ..occasionally inbred people … who vote.

Often, around here, I get the attitude from large metro areas that ‘we’ need to go more progressive, as they battle for the same. Yah, I’d love to see that happen, too. But they need to see what I see … meet the angry foxed-up idiots and assholes I do.. While they’re battling their urban brethren over ‘Bernie vs Biden’ - millions of pieces of shit across the nation have nothing but trump dancing through their small heads..

Vote - Hard!

Did all that invective make you feel better?

@dumasarok No, it’s been bugging me or weeks now … but it’s how they ‘show who’s in charge,’ in trump territory ~

Mostly morons put yard signs on their house, so I agree, it's an interesting indicator.

You should tell that to my hard left neighbor down the road!

@dumasarok Do you think Biden is hard left? At least he doesn't have the 'Rona.

..this courageous ‘moron’s’ got his, though heavily out-numbered. Hey … got more than the ‘double point’ one liners..? Often cute ..they’re lacking in substance

I agree, it is moronic to put a yard sign on your house.

@RoboGraham Then only morons express a political opinion in a public forum.

@dumasarok

Expressing an opinion in a public forum is totally acceptable and normal. Yard signs are meant for the yard, if you put it on your house, that's a bit moronic.

@dumasarok So how do you like Trump's strategy to pretend he has coronavirus? Do you think it'll work better than yard signs?

@RoboGraham My original post specifically said yard signs. That's what I was counting.

@dumasarok

I specifically understand that.

My reply was to @barjoe's comment to your post.

He said "Mostly morons put yard signs on their house" and I agreed with him. It is moronic to put a yard sign on a house. Yard signs in a yard, however, totally normal.

@RoboGraham A yard sign in your yard may not be moronic but only morons do it. Specifically Trumpers.

@barjoe

You're just looking for a way to discredit the fact that Trump yard signs are abundant while Biden yard signs are sparse.

@RoboGraham Yard signs don't translate into votes. If someone want to brag that they're for Trump they are bragging that they are mindless inbred mental defectives.

@barjoe

They are like any other form of political advertising. People see them and, for those who are susceptible to advertising, it has an effect.
