Covid has given us a breather from expanding oil production. During this breather, renewable energy production, battery production, and EV production are increasing quickly. With the exception of Tesla EVs, new car sales have plummeted recently. Solar and wind farms are now less expensive to build and operate than fossil fuel power plants, even though subsidies to the oil industry have been slowing conversion to clean energy. I expect the fai!ure of at least one ICE vehicle manufacturer around 2025, possibly Ford, and around 2030 at least one fossil fuel company will go bankrupt and close. However, predictions are difficult.

Powerful, sinister people want to preserve their wealth that has been built on fossil fuels. They have opposed changing to EVs and clean energy for decades. I do not exclude the use of mortal force by these people. Thus, I hope the change from fossil fuels to renewable energy occurs so quickly that everyone is amazed and surprised, so quickly that violent opposition does not occur.

With all the EVs that will be mandated by 2035, something had to power the grid. It will be overrun. While nuclear energy will take years to implement, they'll be a need for fossil fuel for the next 40 years.
