One of the main aspects of the systematic disfunction of our election process is the handicapping of your vote. You are not only expected to chose who you want to represent you, but also who you feel might actually have the chance to win of those candidates considered "your side" by whatever metrics based on polling prior to the election.

And then whoever wins (50%+1... except in the case of the Electoral College) goes on to declare they have a mandate of the electorate, despite all the other calculations that went into a voter's choice.

Just don't vote for Trump, is that too much to ask?

HRC was awful, the DNC knew her negative numbers were high... so they rigged the primaries and elevated Trump thinking he'd be easier for her to beat. They were so (over)confident of this, Team Hillary felt comfortable coasting to the finish line. Campaign operatives on the ground begged her staff to devote resources to key swing districts, but their metrics told a different story, so they were ignored.

Joe Biden is Hillary 2.0. If your main defense of Biden is, "Stop pointing out what a piece of crap he is!," you may have backed the wrong candidate. "Settle for Biden!" is not the energizing message his people think it is. Apathy is its own built in voter suppression, the long lines indicating actual vote suppression notwithstanding.

Biden is even back to recycling his old lies (who says Joe isn't "Green?" ). /s
