Different sources cite the following as characteristics which tend to be associated with Trump supporters.

• They often feel that if they want it or if if is helpful in achieving something that I want – regardless of the consequences for others – it is okay.
• They tend to have a very limited definition of morality focused on sex related issues and on violence.
• They are very vulnerable to any suggestion of threat including false statements intended to incite and totally false conspiracy theories.
• They usually have an extreme libertarian point of view – feel that they should be totally free to do anything they want, regardless of the consequences for others. This is why they are calling for deregulation.
• They usually have a strong tendency to overestimate their political expertise.
• They feel deprived of something that they feel entitled to.
• They lack exposure to people with a different point of view.
• Because of the above they are vulnerable to false propaganda depicting violence or threats.
• They desire to be seen as more than they are.
• Most have a desire to dominate others.
• They tend to have authoritarian personalities.
• Woven into the above are racism, ethnocentrism, and bigotry.
