The weird thing to me now is the insane amount of suffering and conflict that we could have saved ourselves from, except we believed an incompetent idiot was more virtuous then an obviously competent highly qualified woman.
It seems no one is talking about emails or Benghazi now, unless it's a Republican playing "what about."
They spent $100 million on investigations over twenty years, with no results, and the American public was stupid enough to buy it.

And if Hillary was POTUS now, the GOP would be holding enraged Senate hearings about how she let 20,000 Americans die of Covid-19. @@

So true, Republicans are really intolerant to non Republicans for making mistakes that don’t amount to a rounding error for what Republicans do on purpose with ruthless enthusiasm.

@Willow_Wisp It's beyond politics and partisanship, the GOP is essentially a cult now.

The US of A has a huge problem with misogyny. Among other problems.

Funny...now it's QAnon claiming Democrats are in charge of a world-wide pedophile ring, that Bill Gates and the Chinese manufactured the Coronavirus to, respectively, make money on the cure and take down the USA, and in any case the whole lot of us are in league with the devil...
How long after the election do you think it'll be before this whole 'movement' disappears?

I believe this is all projection, if Trump says you stole something it's because he stole something.
Trump is accused of having sex with a 13 year old girl that was working for Jeffery Epstein.
That's why we have Qanaon, if Trump claims someone did it, it's ALWAYS something he has done himself.

@Willow_Wisp Bingo.
But don't stop with him.
IT'S ALL OF THEM.
It's reverse psychology.
The Democrats are the virtuous ones.
Think about it.

@Storm1752 I hope you aren't selling false equivalence. I've been hearing that crap since 1968.

@Willow_Wisp I hate false equivalency, are you kidding?
I meant, ALL of the Republicans. Or a good percentage.
In the old days, they had legitimate points to make.
Not anymore.

@Storm1752 Sorry, it’s a common thing now to hear people that seem to agree only to do a 180 at the end. My apologies.

@Willow_Wisp I've been 'debating' the false equivalency crowd for months (check my posts) but've concluded they're mostly trolls. Who else could they be? Who could possibly think there is any similarity between the two parties? It drives me crazy, or WOULD if I hadn't suspected long ago they are not honest brokers, sincere, and/or well-intentioned.
Instead, they seem to be determined to reactionarily impede progress to the 'new world' I personally believe is imminent, a secular order based on pragmatism, rationality, and science . I don't believe IN that, but I don't believe IN anything. You may feel the same way, maybe not.
But in my view all we can do is our best, try to rescue the planet from certain doom, improve our institutions and interpersonal relationships, and speculate about the Bigger Questions in a civilized, informed way.

@Storm1752 It’s challenging to get to know people in a crowd, through text, on the internet. I am quite happy we’ve had this chat.
Thank you, and well met sir. 🙂

@Willow_Wisp And that concludes our programming for today...thanks for stopping by.
