If it happens, We will celebrate every accomplishment that you see with you.

A rising/stagnant unemployment rate, gas prices at $3.00 to $4.00 a gallon, rising medical costs, manufacturing businesses moving over seas for cheaper labor, open boarders so we can go back to terror attacks on US soil, etc. etc.

We’ll have to go through it too, but we’ll be able to laugh about it.

I think the election is decided, but Trump won't go away quietly. This guy will burn it down if he thinks it well keep him in power. Keep your seatbelt fastened.

Not the end of it by any means, just a four year break until the next cycle. By then the Dems will have betrayed the working class whites again with Biden and then Harris finishing his term, so those voters will ping pong back to give the Repubs a narrow win in 2024 even when the Repubs nominate someone worse than Trump. But those voters will be so desperate they will believe the lies of the Repub candidate of claiming they will help the working class, same as Trump did. Meanwhile the Dems will probably nominate Harris and she will have no credibility with those voters as she and Biden will pull the usual corporate Dem playbook of not even trying to do much for the working class while blaming it all on the Repubs, even if the Dems control the House and the Senate. As always, the rich donors and corporate donors will be served and win while the common people lose.

You know what? Let's get this shit straight once & for all.

NOBODY was betrayed by the Obama administration. The right wing and the Trump campaign sold a pack of lies.

No administration, no matter the party, can change macroeconomic trends. America is shifting away from heavy manufacturing into an information and service economy, a trend that began 40 years ago. Any politician promising to "bring factory jobs back" is full of shit. Yes, a few auto plants were built or put up new production lines during the last 4 years. Several others shut down or moved out. These were economic decisions by the companies that didn't have a thing to do with Trump. Several of the factories that set up shop had already made those plans before the election in 2016.

Trump promised to bring back coal mining. There were about 3,000 new jobs in the industry, compared to tens of thousands lost due to the lack of demand for coal. Politicians can't create demand by fiat. What's more, coal is an obselete technology that's destroying the environment. What politicians can do is encourage new technology which will create new jobs.

You talk about voters believing the lies of the Republicans; yet by your premise, you obviously do too.

@Paul4747 I never believed Obama either. Time to block.

Save this post and in four years you can say "I told you so" if it bears out!

@fishline79 Don't worry, I'll remember if I'm still alive, this site still exists, and I am still a member. If all that is so, I'm sure someone will remind me if I'm wrong. As far as my comments on the DNC's strategy in four years for the prez election, you can bet the house on it!

@Paul4747 As you so aptly pointed out, all of this political takeover started about 40 years ago, when Reagan was elected. They have been honing the sword ever since with the southern white supremacists, Southern Christian Evangelicals, Billionaires and right-wing activists and PACs like Richard Viguerie and many others.
